The Grammar School attended by Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos in Augsburg as it is today. It was bombed during World War 2 and had to be rebuilt. In October 1832 he started school in Augsburg and stayed there until he graduated 26th August 1839 with a grade which allowed him to move on to University in Munich.

The history of the school  can be found on their website at https://st-stephan.de/unsere-wurzeln/   It is in German as is the video below which also shows the history of the school to the present day.

The grave of Prelate, Bishop`s Vicar Karlheinz Knebel who was responsible for publishing the Seelos German Novena translation and was a great promoter of Blessed Seelos in the Diocese of Augsburg. His grave is located in the inner garden of Augsburg Cathedral.

The Grammar School of St Stephen which Seelos attended was just 13 minutes away from The Visitation of Our Lady Cathedral in Augsburg(German- Dom Mariä Heimsuchung)

Seelos is certain to have prayed there many times during his stay in Augsburg.
